Barracuda Triathlon

what a great day!  Billabong bathed in sunshine, families having picnics on the grass and Dave Walker entertaining the crowds with his comedy waterskiing routine! The 'event' itself also provided some exciting racing with Mike Lake exiting the water in a speedy 6 minutes,closely followed by James McCartney, Mark Lingard crashing his bike and Tom McKee running at just over 5 minute miles!!!!

John Ketley took 1st place with James Sampson close behind and Steve Braund in 3rd.  Team Robinson also had a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy the 'race'.

Thanks go to loads of people who helped to make this event a really good one; The two Daves for all their hard work. The two Marks for the results spreadsheet and presentation of results. Sarah and Gill for timekeeping. The suppliers who contributed to make the 'goody' bag so good. Special thanks to the marshalls without whom triathlons could not take place and to Les and Janice for swim safety. 

Finally a big thank you to Michelle Harrison for sourcing the kit that makes us at least look like triathletes.
