Winter Training - Spinning

Bored of your Turbo Trainer? try spinning for a great alternative

Spinning, or indoor cycling, has been around for more than 20 years and is a great way to improve overall aerobic fitness, increase stamina, lower body-fat levels and increase muscle tone.

The indoor instructor-led class has developed from a training regime for elite athletes to suitable workouts for all levels of fitness.

The Spinning Class is designed to allow each participant to work at their own pace as they control the level of resistance put on their bike.

Each "journey" or class will challenge the individual and will include all safe aspects of training such as warm-up, gradual increase in workload and a cool-down, complete with stretching.

Participants will be guided by the instructor, who has been trained to give advice on resistance and cadence (speed/rpm) for each specific terrain.

It is advisable to bring along water and a towel to the classes.

These classes can be found at your local sports centres/gyms and are open to all ages and abilities.

Classes can range from £2.00 - £4.00
